1.What is organic milk powder ?
An organic product is made from organic raw materials. Processed organic food usually contains only organic ingredients. If non-organic ingredients are present, at least a certain percentage of the food’s total plant and animal ingredients must be organic (95% in the United States, Canada, China and Australia).
It also requires Organic certification. Organic certification is a certification process for producers of organic food and other organic agricultural products. Requirements vary from country to country, and generally involve a set of production standards for growing, storage, processing, packaging and shipping.


2.What about claims that organic milk contains no pesticides, antibiotics or hormones?
The definition of organic milk refers to farm management practices, not to the milk itself. Stringent government standards ensure that both organic milk and regular milk are wholesome, safe and nutritious. While the organic standard is defined differently in different jurisdictions, in general organic farming responds to site-specific farming and crop conditions by integrating cultural, biological, and mechanical practices that foster cycling of resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity. Synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers are not allowed, although certain organically approved pesticides may be used under limited conditions. In general, organic foods are also not processed using irradiation, industrial solvents, or chemical food additives.


3.Does organic milk taste better?
The taste of milk, regardless of whether it is organically or conventionally produced, can differ slightly on a variety of sensory qualities from bottle to bottle and season to season. Factors that may impact taste include location of the farm, breed of the cow, variations in cows’ feed from farm to farm, and even the time of year. Milk that is ultra-pasteurized for longer freshness may have a slightly different taste. People should do their own “taste test” to see which kinds of milk they prefer.


4.Is organic milk fresher than regular milk?

Not necessarily. Most milk, including organic and regular milk, is delivered to stores within a few days of milking. With modern distribution systems, both types of milk may travel hundreds of miles from farm to retail outlet. Dairy farmers and processors work diligently to provide fresh milk to the marketplace.


5.Why does organic milk cost more than other milk?

It is costly for dairy farmers to follow the government standards that are required to receive the certification. Also because the uniqueness of the product as well as the limited amount of resource.


6.What is the normal taste of the product? Why is there fishy smell in the milk powder?

Our Ogni organic milk powder does not have any artificial ingredients; it is a light and natural taste. However, some of our products such as student, children, pregnancy and ladies formula contain DHA.ARA. Therefore some slight smell of fish is normal.


7.Does the milk powder ranges from different humidity?
Milk powders are affected by the acquisition time, climate, seasonal factors, the rate of deviation control water production and processing of milk itself. Therefore different batches of milk powder will be slight different in terms of its humidity and colours. It is very normal.


8.What is the recommended temperature to prepare the milk powder?
The recommended water temperature to prepare the milk is 40 – 60°C, but 50°C is ideal. When the water temperature is too low, the dissolution rate of the milk powder will slow down. You may experience diarrhea when drinking it too cold. It is normal to see tiny lumps of milk powder sticking together if the temperature is too high.


9.How to store the milk powder?
Please store the milk powder in a cool, dry and ventilated place. Please consume within a month once opened.


10.Why there are bubbles when stirring?
The bubbles are a natural physical occurrence which is not harmful to your health. It is normal to see inconsistent colloidal solution in the milk when dissolved in water. The milk powder does not contain any added defoamers or suds controlling agent.


11.Why are there sometimes tiny particles presented in the milk after dissolved?

We added various nutrients in the milk powder. Although the nutrients themselves are fairly small, they can still be visible in the milk powder. Therefore, it is normal to see some particles when preparing the milk. Due to different production techniques, the particles may be more visible in certain types of milk powder. For example, after reconstituted for a while, some minerals like calcium may appear seen as particles. These particles are not harmful to your health, so please do not be concerned.


12.What are the water-insoluble black spots in the milk powder?

The processing of the fresh milk undergone at high temperature, spray dry and other processes, and it can even come to 200°C. The protein and lactose of the milk powder can receive excessive local heating, which may cause black or brown small spots. This is called “scorched powder” also known as “Maillard Reaction” in the industry. All of our milk powder products are tested safe in regards to these black spots. Therefore, the milk powders you have purchased are safe to consume.
